The Stage

Acting in front of a camera is much easier than acting in front of a live audience. There is a huge energy that you get from a crowd. To hear the laughter of a person after your line is interesting because you can feed of the laughter and then pretty soon you have a crowd of Five hundred people laughing and you get that rush. What is so hard about the stage is that you have to allow your audience to receive every emotion. The hardest parts of having to act on stage is crumbling under pressure. I believe that the best shows have audiences that will respect the performers. Once a person truly understands what goes into performing they should give the performance the respect that it deserves.

There are times when people are performing and the audience is completely dead and it was hopeless. The performers were amazing in my opinion. Even if they are aren't the best you clap and cheer to support. What is my pet peeve are people who like to heckle. I feel that it not only effects the performers but it distracts the audience. To conclude, the next time you go to a performance no matter what be respectful and imagine if you were on stage you would want the audience to be mature and active.

The Relationship Scene

I really enjoyed the process the relationship scene. Sophia is an excellent partner devoted to her work. We made sure to stay very focused during the process of creating this piece. The way that we created the script was we both had to meditate on the what we would really say so that it came from a place of real. Sophia as a Media Specialist took a lot of time and focus on perfecting our production book along with the movie editing. The performance was not the best one. Mrs. Thomas was right in that we could have probably pondered stronger conflict. One thing that I must say was that I just was not in the moment, I was thinking too much and the lines were just not flowing from my heart.

What I would have changed would definitely be able to have students in the class watch and correct my scene fully rehearsed from beginning. Asking them how to improve it would have helped. What hurt us in the long run was the lack of music in our scene. All in all it was a learning experience and you can only be built stronger and learn from mistakes in life.

Troy- The great Achilies

I recently watched the movie Troy and was moved. The was movie spoke of honour and valor. My favourite character was by far the character of Achilles played by  Brad Pit. Achilles  was one of, if not the best warrior's. What was interesting was that he fought for himself, he did not fight for any foolish king.  He understood that Kings would just use soldiers as little ponds for their battles and the kings would go down in history. The reason that Achilles fought against Troy was because the battle of Troy was to go down in history and he wanted to be known as the best warrior who ever lived.

What was amazing was that because he knew how fickle the kings were. The real battle that Achilles had was with the King of the Spartans. In the beginning scenes you notice the Spartan Kings hatred towards Achilles because he could not be controlled or manipulated. Achilles hated the thought of possibly being just another servant dieing because a Foolish King decided he wanted more and more power. A king standing in complete ignorance to the fact that soldiers have families and many children were left father less.

Achilles was not so  proud to be fighting and killing, like any other person had emotions. there was one moment were he cries and the audience is open to his heart. He never stop killing because he felt that this was what he was born to do just because he was excellent at it. The cousin of Achilles died out of arrogance pretending to lead the army into battle and blindly fighting Hector of Troy. This vexed Achilles and caused a great anger to arise in him. Hector was called to battle Achilles and killed, even though both lead soldiers were against the war.

Bottom line that I got from this movie is know what you are fighting for and who you are fighting for. There are to many people that do not know what drives them in life. So many will work hard for people that don't care about you. Working for a boss that is caring is so much more rewarding. When becoming a leader i believe that one must of served first so the leader understands how to direct and not just blindly sating commands.

The Evolution of a Musician

Music is every where. I feel it in my heart. When I walk around the halls I hear broken sentences of the many lives I want to change. I feel compelled to accomplished my destiny. Through music I will be able to speak little words but allow my audiences to hear my cry through the chords that I play for the true king of glory. The true King of love is waiting for his people to realise that all they need is him. Music has this way of transforming minds and hearts. When in tragedy people allow the cry of there hearts to bring them through. Music is evolving my character I am becoming more focused on my goals and tasks.

When I hear music it's like I feel this new energy building in me. What is lacking in music these days is true soul. I feel that the evolution of a true musician is found in the songs that he writes. A Musician that just babbles none sense in my opinion is not using their gifts to their fullest potential. Every word spoken by the fruit of the lip needs to be angled for a positive meaning or purpose. Music brings you into a new dimention where the color of your skin no longer matters. The music tha tis food for the soul will calm the rageing storm in your mind and bring you to a peace that surpasses all understanding. Music lives in me and I will make it my dutie to be the most humble, loyale, rightous and just stand up for a new standered. A bold standered.

Being a child

What is so amazing about being a child is understanding how much your parents love you. I am now 17 years old going on 18 it is intresting thinking about what I've been through to get to this point of my life. As the eldest child I notice the growth not only in myself, but in my father particularly. My father has been there for me my entire life. I have seen him become a better man. The growth of my father has been so emense that it cuased a shift in my thinking towards life. I heed the words of my father because they are wise. My father can say what ever he would like to me and he would never break our bond. I will always be his first born son. Being his son, Deroy's son is a rollercoaster ride of mulitple emotions trials and tribulations mixed up into this thing we call life.

Time is of the Essence

There are so many things that we do as young people these days that are just distracting to reaching our destiny. How many hours do we spend on the television when we could be using that time to write a series of our own. What is funny is that a lot of what is televised are not as complex as I once thought they were. As a future director, writer, musician and just all around artist I am thrilled studying and absorbing everything that happens in a movies. Hence I try my best to use my time effectivly.

What I invest my time in I expect a return. You will probably see me on the computer networking.  What I find frustating is the amount of time that is wasted in being on the computer talking to your friends. Time managment is key to any eveloping teen age person. Living life with no form of structure is  unhealthy becuase you don't have a disiplined drive that alows you to achieve goals in your life. Every day is a gift to you. Every moment that you have, every breath should be valued. The life clock is ticking fast so you better choose to get focussed or you will have regrets in your future.
